Pen Friends in England

This week we are learning how to write a letter to introduce ourselves to new people.  Last week we were visited by Madame Winch who is a teacher at Kingswood Junior School in Essex, England.  We welcomed her by singing the waiata "Te Aroha".  She was very impressed with the welcome and took our photo doing it.
She brought us letters from a class of Yr 5 students (the same as Yr 6 in New Zealand).  Madame Winch told us about the school and we also saw some videos the students had made telling us about their school.
Each of us are now writing to one of the students in the class and we will be sending these plus some photos and videos back to England with Madame Winch later this week.  We hope we may be able to keep this contact going and hope that they may have a class blog which we can connect to as well.
