The 2015 School Year Begins

We welcomed our 27 eager Year 6 students this week.  We have spent the majority of the first 2 days setting up how we will learn and work together as a team in Room 11. We are exploring how the brain works to help us learn and how important it is to exercise our brain so we can grow our learning to be the best we can be.
We have also explored what has been happening around the school over the holidays and were really surprised at how the school garden and food forest have grown in that time.  The chickens are back and looking right at home again after a holiday away.  We noticed fruit on our fruit trees and the vegetables had good crops on them.  It was impressive to learn how much our class knew about the vegetables and fruit that we found growing.
