Learning Plan

Room 11's Learning Plan is being developed with students to help them understand the school CARE values, expectations for learning, criteria for successful students and teachers and guidelines for procedures and rules within our class.
We are completing varied activities to achieve this many involving the use of thinking tools like Y charts, brainstorming, art activities, stories along with sharing our ideas and learning in Circle Time.
The concept of Circle Time is practised often at the beginning of the year and forms the basis of continuing reflection during the year.  Students sit in a circle, the guidelines are outlined, a talking object is passed around and the person holding it is the only person sharing their thinking or learning. The guidelines are:

We are learning to value the thoughts and opinions of others and practice being an active listener.

The Learning Plan will be given to all families at Parent teacher meetings in Week 4.
